We arrange loan facilities for new developments, both with into the ground risk and PDR conversions as well as refinance facilities; planning uplift facilities and equity release facilities.

Prospective investments outside the criteria detailed above will be considered on a case by case basis.

Joint Venture Co-investment

JV co-investments will be considered on a case by case basis. Rubicon Capital seeks to build long term, ambitious relationships with development partners and has previously entered joint ventures on bespoke structures with existing clients.




Giles Tagg M.Sc.

Giles co-founded Rubicon Capital and has focused on residential development projects in London; the South-East; South West and other major cities in England. Giles has been involved in corporate debt lending and private equity investment since 2010 and has assisted with transactions with asset value in excess of £1bn.

Giles qualified with a M.Sc. Real Estate from Nottingham Trent University prior to work at Lloyds Corporate Bank and Contour Capital. At Rubicon Capital, Giles is responsible for investment sourcing; due diligence and investment execution. Since 2015, Rubicon Capital has assisted with the creation of 1000+ residential units with primary focus on multi-unit development schemes.


Keir Chastney MRICS

Keir co-founded Rubicon Capital prior to which he worked at Contour Capital, a family office backed lender which focused on mezzanine and equity joint venture funding for SME housebuilders. Prior to Rubicon and Contour, Keir qualified as a chartered surveyor with Jones Lang LaSalle focusing on valuation and development consultancy advice.

Keir focuses on sourcing and underwriting investment opportunities and has underwritten in excess of £100m of residential debt and equity opportunities with a combined GDV in excess of £500m.
